the makers is a photo project by photographer jennifer causey who is bsed in brooklyn . i often stop by to see what new artisans she has added that are based there. so far they include local jewellers, ceramicists, painters, florists, perfumer, clothing designers and chocolate maker (as above). she takes amazing photos and interviews them. jennifer plans a book later this year, which i must look out for.
i often feel nostalgic about brooklyn as it as where my great grandparents emigrated to and the place, apart from here in great britain (or perhaps scandinavia or spain) where i would most like to live in the world. maybe one day i will.

morran

i have loved camilla engman's work for years and love reading her blog. apart from looking at her amazing work i also loved finding out about her adorable danish/swedish farmdog morran. morran was the reason she started her blog and people started requesting photos posted of her. sadly morran passed away last november. the morran book project has hundreds of wonderful artists pictures of morran. the entire profit is donated to wspa ( world society for the protection of animals - sweden). camilla's other blog studio morran.

waiting for spring

ok much as i love my cozy uggs i am more than ready to swap them for sandals and warmer weather. im so over winter. it's been too cold. and long.

a couple of days ago a little bit of sun and some flowers in the park, signs that spring is on it's way. oh yeah.
