ReplyDeletekeeping cozy in winter in Canada!?! ok, I will wear my -30C North Face coat, drink a lot of hot chocolate (and tea), sleep with warm wool vintage blankets and read good books...oh, play boardgames with my husband!
ReplyDeleteThe polar bears are super sweet. I love snuggling on the couch with my family, reading books, drinking tea, and listening to the fire crackle. Evenings seem gloriously long. Happy holidays!
ReplyDeleteThe open bedroom window, a warm duvet and at least two hot water bottles. The damping bowl with pumpkin soup, with carrot soup, with parsnip soup. The silent garden covered under a layer of snow. My birthday. Frost red cheeks. Chickadees in the trees next to our kitchen window. The open fire place. The frozen lake and a winter picnic on a sleigh.
ReplyDeleteA very warm hug to you, dear Kim!

ReplyDeleteWhat I love about winter is that I usually spend the best part of it up in Canada with my wonderful boyfriend and his family. I predict keeping cozy with lots of hugging and snuggling under the blankets while watching movies. :D
Sweet things!
ReplyDeleteNow, for me, winter transports me back to childhood; drying mittens on the radiator, pulling the doggie around in a sleigh, watching the stars shimmer on clear, frosty evenings above the fields of skeleton trees. WInter is also when i come alive, the long nights make for so many joyful hours of reading, making art, and curling up with my favourite films. The pale hues and magical light of winter days delight me so much.
My dream is to move up north a little, to Norway perhaps......if only!
Love the polar bears!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat I love about winter is celebrating Christmas, making gifts, getting cozy in front of the tree and watching my kiddies playing in the newly fallen snow!
